It's a beautiful morning, clear, fresh, and sunny. I hope to finish pruning the roses today!
The Priola catalog arrived yesterday and I immediately sat down and began working on my fall orders, hauling stacks of heavy plant manuals down from the gardening bookshelf onto the sofa and going crazy as I researched. Naturally I had to consult the Esveld site as well, which increased my mental confusion exponentially. Esveld is great: I ordered from them two years ago and hope to do so again this fall.
Harma, I haven't forgotten my promise to write about synergic gardening, but I'm thinking about it (and stalling as well). I think I'll put up a separate thread in Giardinaggio, as I do only ornamental gardening and it has somewhat different requirements, but will relate it to your thread in the vegetable gardening forum. I read the brochure you attached in your thread; it was very interesting and seemed pretty comprehensive. It was in line with what I had read on sustainable gardening.

i tell you a little secret: .....i hate a little every birthday.
i and my husband (and our families too) don't celebrate any name-day or birthday... usually these parties make me sad... i remember when i was child... and it's better to forget those moments....
now i'm more happy and satisfied than once - i'm over fifty years old (exactly fifty two) - and i should put too much candles on my cake!!!
but you are a nice one, and elena sent you a delicious picture, so i give you a kkkisssssss for every year you are old!

Today in class we had a bunch of mimosa and one of my friend was choking for its smell (which seems good for me) because he's allergic!

i love every flower's perfume (especially those strong and sweet or particular) and often i used their oils/essences on myself.
i remember some funny events:
..once i smelt of vanilla and my colleagues thought there was a cake just cooked in the office:baffi:
...once i smelt of rosmary essence and i was on train: people that were in my section said: it seems a smell of medicine!:fischio:
... and once i used tuberose and i was in the cinema: someone said "what a disgusting smell!" another said "wow it smell good!"

one of my favourite, let's say in nature, it's the scent of Osmanthus/Oleans Fragrans, I love when it's its season and in the evening you can smell it in the air
instead, the smell of Lavender gives me headache, really too strong for me. an essence for perfumes that I have always found not good, although I do like the smell of the flowers, is that of violets. have to say that with perfumes I'm very very picky, there're just a few fragrances I like and many many that I find disturbing. if I had to sit next to someone that wear one of those, at a theatre, I would change place or just go, it's really that strong the effect for me when a certain smell is in the air and some of me doesn't find it good...

elena, i suggest to you: if in the future we'll meet please keep me away! usually i use strong essences!
even for me Osmanthus is one of the best scents, together with gardenia (i think they are similar...).
but i forgot to nome the perfume of orange flowers!! Fantastic!

Sooooo nice the perfume story....here another one:When I was a teenager I loved a certain perfume,but I was the only one...I never could find it anymore
When I visited my sister she bought it on internet,but she really didn't like it too and gave it to me.After they took it out of the commerce..I still have the empty bottle,and sometimes I smell it,and even after a lot of years the smell is still there..mmmmmm.In my garden I love the smell of the Buddlea and the Lonicera fragrantissima...Belvedere you mean Neroli,when you talk about the orange flowers?? Here it is very expensive,and sometimes my daughter bring it to me from Israel,there it is so cheap...If you like strong essences I'm sure you'll like ylang-ylang...
