.. al solito, l'ombra più totale si sa che non è gradita a nessuna rosa, ma almeno abbiamo un elenchino di quelle che non si offendono subito con poco sole.. :flower:

Quindi, più che tollerare l'ombra, stanno bene a mezz'ombra.....te lo chiedo perchè la mia futura suocera, si è innamorata della MIA guinèe, e si è fissata che vuole anche lei una rosa in vaso, solo che mentre io usufruisco di un terrazzo esposto a sud, lei ha una specie di corte, chiusa su tre lati dove arrivano un paio d'ore di sole solo in estate, e per il resto è ombra totale. Ho provato mille volte a spiegarle che le rose vogliono il sole, ma non vuole comprendere. Ho provato anche a spiegarle che essendo la terrazza che io uso, in effetti di sua proprietà, poteva benissimo venire quando le pareva a contemplare le mie rose, ma a quanto pare non le garba come soluzione....per un attimo mi sono illusa di poter trovare una rosa che vivesse decentemente anche a casa sua....ma poi ho pensato..." è riuscita a uccidere una tradescantia".... meglio lasciar perdere.

.. io non consiglio più per esperienza le rose a cui sono affezionata a chi poi non le tratta bene.. è un po' come regalare un animale ad una persona incompetente, meglio di no. In ogni caso sul catalogo di David Austin c'è un elenchino che ho visto ieri con nomi di rose rampicanti che vanno bene per "muri esposti a Nord o aree con meno di 4 ore di sole al giorno":

Provando a semplificare un po' l'elenco (ottimo!) di silviaviola per una più facile memorizzazione, almeno per le antiche:

Quasi tutte le rose antiche, in particolare:
1-quelle antichissime non rifiorenti
2-rugose, chinensis e moschata (che tollerano anche quasi tutto in generale)

OK, non colgie il 100% dell'elenco, ma aiuta a ricordare un po' di linee guida abbastanza corrette.
Ovvio che non parliamo di ombra completa. E che parliamo di "tollerare", non di "amare"

mah, non so quanto attendibile sia l'elenco..... Non ho visto elencata la Golden Showers che è meravigliosa pur con pochissime ore di sole al giorno (io ce l'ho e prende solo un'ora di sole al mattino ed uno al tramonto in estate, in inverno MAI), mentre la Buff Beauty che rientra nell'elenco, se sistemata all'ombra fiorisce poco.....

Quoto Paola, che saluto di cuore, in effetti nell'elenco di fondo catalogo di Austin ,in mio possesso la Golden Showers c'è, come non si sono tanti nomi citati da Silvia; faccio presente che detto elenco è di rose con un'esposizione inferiore alla 4 ore al dì.
